What is MTB Redding CA all about? That is the BIG, loaded question that I can surely answer well. My name is Crazy Chris and thank you for visiting today. I got that name from an old friend of mine, Scotty B who now lives in Idaho. The name fits well with my riding style I think. I met Scotty B at the closest bike shop to where I lived at the time, which gave me an opportunity to ride with Scotty B and Crew but also to learn all the wonderful MTB trails Redding CA has to offer its locals but to other MTB riders around the world.
My job here is simple, I am going to put a video of each MTB trail here Redding CA and have some fun doing it. Trails like “The Chimney” out at Whiskeytown Recreation Area and with one of the HOTTEST flow trail “Enticer” out at Swasey Recreation Area. You love flow?? You are going to LOVE the “Enticer”.
I first start MTB riding in Redding CA in 1998. Bought an MTB full Suspension Jamis off a coworker for $500 and it was ON. Being an aggressive rider that I am, I haven’t always ridden MTB every year due to injuries and desires. I took about 5 years off but always had that inner desire to ride MTB. A lot has changed since that time, bike tech and MTB trails.
Bike tech changed to 27.5 wheels and dropper post etc. MTB tech right now is AWESOME! The MTB bikes now basically ride themselves. I am in need of a new MTB myself.
MTB Redding CA trails have been expanding every year thanks to Redding Trail Alliance. The crew really has impacted the MTB community here in Redding CA. With the cooperation of BLM and other sponsors, RTA has been able to craft some of the best MTB trails in Redding CA and Norcal.
This is just the beginning of the little site so it will evolve a lot. So, if you are into MTB and up for a ride in my neck of the woods hit me up and let’s go for an MTB ride. It would be my pleasure to show you around.
